Code of Professional Ethics
As a Biofeedback Therapist, Suzanne is
legally qualified to train people with a biofeedback device to
relax and re-educate their muscles. Research has shown that
biofeedback has been effective in helping people lower blood
pressure, reduce their hypertension and manage their stress and
pain.
As a Biofeedback Therapist, Suzanne may use
any form of relaxation, meditation, contemplation or visualization
with my clients. I may use any means to help my client focus their
attention including software or hardware to capture their
attention, focus their minds and deepen their concentration.
As a Nutritional Counselor, Suzanne may
recommend homeopathic, dietary and nutritional supplements that
will be supportive to the clients’ body and well being.
As a Naturopath, Suzanne may recommend
natural avenues to enhance her clients’ wellbeing including: clean
air, clean water, homeopathic, herbal and nutritional supplements.
A Biofeedback Therapist is not qualified to
diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical disease, disorder or
condition. However, a Naturopath is qualified to assist the body
in its own capability to self heal by using natural
recommendations.
Suzanne will offer her services without
discrimination on the basis of race, creed, age, gender, sexual
preference, national origin, mental, emotional and/or physical
disability, disease, and financial status, social or religious
affiliation.
Suzanne will take all reasonable precautions
to avoid harm to clients, always demonstrating a concern for the
rights, safety, health, welfare, culture and dignity of
recipients.
Suzanne will provide recipients of services
with access to office policies and their own complete record
information. Clients are to have the freedom to terminate
participation any time that he/she chooses.
Suzanne will maintain a professional,
goal-related relationship with recipients, other professionals and
friends which could interfere with her objective professional
judgment.
Suzanne will protect the confidentiality of
information gained from her clinical practice unless this
knowledge deems an innocent third party to be at risk of being
harmed.
Suzanne will hold the Code of Ethics of her
profession as her high standard of behavior.
Suzanne will only make claims that are supported by published scientific evidence.
